A traditional hand cut timber frame facility, affectionately known as ‘The Barn’, nestles into the stunning rolling fields of the 300 acre Bird’s Eye Cove Farm. Highland Cattle roam the pastures grazing on the lush grasses of Vancouver Island, while chickens freely wander and laze in the warm Cowichan Valley sun. There is no other place on earth quite like it, where memories are made and peace, tranquility and natural beauty are found.
The farm naturally raises beef, pork, chicken, eggs and an assortment of other ‘fresh from the field’ produce. In our health inspected kitchen, we create takeaway meals such as; meat pies, Shepards’ pies, and an assortment of pasta dishes and other treats. Our list changes seasonally, but is always a result of locally grown produce.
The newest addition to the farm, our 3600 sq ft traditional timber frame barn, is where we offer private and community events. As we are farmers first, on a full working farm, we place great value on what we eat, whenever possible encouraging all events to engage in farm to table.
Our latest addition to the farm is a wood fire pizza oven and grill set (flat BBQ grill and spit). This will allow us to share even more of our ‘fresh from farm goodness’ with others. However, we are not a restaurant.
The team at Bird’s Eye Cove Farm are passionate about delivering products, service and an experience which cannot be found anywhere else. We live the lifestyle ~ we eat what we produce, we embrace the land as stewards, we care for our animals with kindness and we treat every inquiry, client and acquaintance with the same care and consideration which we wish to receive.
